Mullie is a St. Bernard who was rescued by the Humane Society of the Desert in November 2009. She was only 9 weeks old and weighed a mere 15 pounds. Her temperament and breeding inspired us to begin training her as our Assisted Therapy Canine Ambassador. Mullie is now a student, taking certification training to help those in need. She will visit hospitals, retirement homes, and schools to bring comfort and joy to many people throughout the community. She will be one of the larger therapy dogs in the area - she is expected to top 150 pounds of furry love which will add an element of entertainment as she performs her duties. Mullie's mission is to enrich the lives of children and adults who need a type of tender loving care that only a four-legged healer can provide. She will be an important ambassador for the Humane Society of the Desert, which is committed to helping both animals and people. |
